Boston-based video technology solution Brightcove has announced it has acquired audience insights company Wicket Labs. The move is designed to upgrade the subscriber and content data analytics capabilities of one of the globe’s most complete video delivery solutions.

“We are committed to serving our customers through our intelligent video platform powered by analytics, AI and ML to help them grow their businesses by engaging audiences and monetizing their content,” said Namita Dhallan, CPO, Brightcove.

“The acquisition of Wicket Labs helps us to augment our analytics offering with audience insights and increase our resources dedicated to bringing additional value to our customers.”

By acquiring Wicket Labs, Brightcove will give its users access to valuable content and subscriber insights that will help power data-driven decisions. These audience insights will help marketers increase customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.

The acquisition is an investment into AI and machine learning technology for Brightcove. Wicket Labs’ data-driven insights come complete with comprehensive visualization dashboards and marketing assets that drive deeper customer lifetime values, engagement analysis, and key buyer behavior trends.

Brightcove’s video technology helps users create and distribute optimized video content, and subsequently gather real-time viewer insights. These analytics help users learn about their customer’s buying habits and modify future viewer engagement strategies based on recommendations that maximize ROI and video performance.
