Leading email and text message automation solution Sendlane has announced its platform will officially become available on the Shopify App Store effective immediately. The integration makes Sendlane’s data-based customer communications capabilities available to over 1.75 million Shopify merchants.

The move aims to give Shopify merchants the ability to automate segmentation and communication activities with data-driven categories such as location, buyer history, cart status, and more.

The integration will seamlessly connect Sendlane to Shopify with its complete email and SMS messaging tools for increasing customer reach, revenue attribution, and native integrations to automation tools and social media platforms.

“For a successful eCommerce merchant, data is like a firehose of information: there’s certainly a lot of it, but it can be hard to use effectively. Add to that the changing landscape of privacy and regulation, and running an online store starts to turn into an experts-only exercise,” said Jimmy Kim, Co-Founder and CEO of Sendlane.

“Sendlane is in the business of helping provide personalized, data-driven communications to boost LTV on a per-customer basis for our merchant partners. We’re very happy to bring our expertise to Shopify’s customers now, too.”

Sendlane was founded in 2018 by Kim as a solution to inadequate email tools he was experiencing in his career. Since then, the company has been booming, growing to over 1,700 customers and securing $23 million in total funding.

Today the company is responsible for hosting over 40 million email messages per day. Average response time takes only 30 seconds.

For Sendlane, joining Shopify means a huge opportunity to grow its marketing footprint and overall reach. Shopify is a leading cloud multi-channel e-commerce platform used by over 1.7 million businesses across the world in 175 different countries. The platform powers brand e-commerce sites such as Red Bull, Nestle, and Kylie Cosmetics.
