VistaPrint, the marketing services and material provider for many businesses across industry and size, has announced a pair of acquisitions to help fuel its rebranding to “Vista.” By acquiring online digital graphic design platform Crello and its parent company DepositPhotos for $85 million, Vista aims to expand its offerings by releasing VistaCreate.

VistaCreate is a tool designed to make creative content and materials more accessible. For many small businesses, creative content can quickly become expensive and time consuming. However, VistaCreate will offer a powerful free starter plan that features a library of over a million copyright-free images, videos, and other graphics, unlimited downloads, a background removal tool, and 10GB of storage space.

“Over 20 years ago, VistaPrint invented online design and publishing tools for print marketing materials to empower small businesses to create attractive designs without having to learn complex software,” said Vadim Nekhai, former CEO of Despositphotos who will now serve as VP of VistaCreate. “VistaCreate brings the same simplicity to social media and other forms of digital design and Depositphotos brings a vast library of high-quality imagery, videos and music. We look forward to being part of the Vista team as we continue to innovate together to help small businesses look and feel professional both online and offline.”

Recently, Vista has taken steps to revitalize and upgrade its brand with a $250 million investment plan. Last October, the company made a similar move when it acquired 99designs, a freelance creator marketplace, and partnered with Wix, a creative website building service.

The acquisition of DepositPhotos gives Vista access to over 200 million images, videos, and audio pieces from over 100,000 content contributors. Millions of marketers around the world will now have access to a diverse library of content that powers greater content marketing success. The service will also feature a paid pro plan with upgraded capabilities from the free version.

“We’re excited to announce our new parent brand Vista, which reflects our ongoing transformation into the expert design and marketing partner for small businesses around the world. The launch of VistaCreate is a critical part of this journey, providing small businesses with access to a world class social media creative design solution.”
